Our Summer OSA Newsletter

Written by Orthopaedics SA on 21 May 2025

We are excited to present our Summer edition, filled with inspiring stories and notable achievements from our team. This issue starts with a celebration of Dr. Angela Alder-Price’s victory for Best Paper at the SESA Meeting, highlighting her exceptional research contributions to the orthopaedic field. We also feature a series of educational GP events titled ‘From Play to Age: A Comprehensive Look at Musculoskeletal Health’ at the Pavilion, designed to broaden the understanding of musculoskeletal health across various life stages.

This edition also marks the 20th anniversary of the Australian Joint Registry, showcasing decades of data-driven improvements in joint replacement therapies, a feat discussed by our own Darren Waters. Additionally, we spotlight the collaborative efforts between our PAs and surgeons, illustrating their commitment to superior healthcare outcomes.

We are also proud to introduce our new Chairman, Dr. Mario Penta, whose leadership is poised to propel Orthopaedics SA into new realms of innovation and community service. Join us in celebrating these milestones and more by reading the full newsletter.
