Dr Jason Ward

Dr Jason Ward is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery (of the knee, shoulder and ankle) and joint replacement (knee, shoulder and hip). These are all complex joints that require the greatest attention and care. Dr Ward brings extensive experience, as well as focusing on up-to-theminute techniques, treating these joints to attain the best outcomes for his patients.

Practising privately with Orthopaedics SA in North Adelaide, Ashford and Bedford Park, he also supports country patients at Kapunda Hospital, Port Pirie Hospital, and Karnak House / Whyalla Hospital. Dr Ward is a Visiting Orthopaedic Specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Repatriation General Hospital.

After graduating from Flinders University in 1996, Dr Ward obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He then completed post fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroplasty with two internationally regarded surgeons; Dr Keith Holt, at the Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, and Dr Leo Pinczewski, at North Sydney Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. This training supported sub-specialisations in all facets of knee and shoulder surgery, particularly ACL reconstruction and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. He continues to maintain up-to-date treatment modalities through continuing professional development and education, with extensive specialist visits internationally.
