Dr Dracopoulos is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who has chosen to commit himself totally to management of Foot and Ankle problems.
He graduated from Medical School (University of Adelaide) in 1984, then undertook a further eight years of surgical training obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) in 1993.
In 1993 he attended Harvard University where he completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery. Following this he was a guest of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society visiting various centres in North America.
In 1994/1995 he completed a second Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre.
He has attended the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Comprehensive Foot and Ankle Course (Chicago) and the Advanced Foot and Ankle Course (New York).
He has now focused completely on the Foot and Ankle, no longer performing surgery of the knee, hip, etc.
He is a member of the Australian Foot and Ankle Society, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the British Orthopaedic Foot Surgery Society and the International Society of Medicine and Surgery of the Foot.
The University of Adelaide and Flinders University have appointed him as a Clinical Lecturer.
He was the Government-appointed medical representative on the Podiatry Board of South Australia from 1997 - 2006.
In private he operates at the Memorial Private Hospital, Ashford Community Hospital and Burnside Hospital.
